How to Farm Glimpses in Mortal Shell 2

Fully max out all Shells without grinding through New Game Plus.

In Mortal Shell 2, Glimpses are taken to Zhirelle in the Shellkeeper’s Vault to increase your Shell Bonding Tier and unlock strong Shell upgrades. Early in the game, you mainly collect them from cleansed Beacons, Corrupted Gates, and other exploration rewards. After the Week 1 Update, you can farm them repeatedly thanks to the inclusion of Glimpse Stones in The Unfound Path.

How to Farm Glimpses in Mortal Shell 2

Unlock The Unfound Path

Mortal Shell 2 Chamber of the Forsaken beacon location.

You can only farm Glimpses after you reach The Unfound Path, the game’s final dungeon.

First, progress far enough until you open the underground path in Marrow Keep. After the Week 1 update, you aren’t stuck with a limited supply of Glimpses anymore. Now that they are limitless, you can max out every Shell without relying on New Game Plus. After The Unfound Path is unlocked, head to the Chamber of the Forsaken beacon because it works best to reset the area while you farm.

Kill Lithopods for Glimpse Stones

Kill these Lithopods to obtain Glimpse Stones.

The Glimpse Stone can be obtained from the stone crab-like Lithopods in The Unfound Path. Ordinary Lithopods in the main regions do not drop this Fragile Tarstone, so stone crabs farm near Fainweald or Mammon is a waste of time.

Rest at the Chamber of the Forsaken beacon, then go through the cave toward the exit. You will see three Lithopods right outside: one in front, one to the left, and one further to the right. These are the enemies you need to farm to collect Glimpse Stones. Once you clear all three, run back to the beacon to rest and reset the area.

Note: Glimpse Stone drops are random, so expect some dry runs. Resetting this small group is better and quicker than wandering through the rest of the map.

Equip a Glimpse Stone

Once you get a Glimpse Stone, equip it before you fight enemies. This item is a Fragile Tarstone, so you won’t earn Glimpses just by holding onto it. The stone breaks after you defeat 20 enemies, and once it shatters, you will get 3 Glimpses. One more thing to remember: you can wear only one Glimpse Stone at a time, so it’s not possible to speed things up.

Defeat 20 Enemies

Glimpse Stone broke after killing 20 enemies in Mortal Shell 2.

The best spot is the pair of bats by the Blackridge Pass Beacon. Rest at the beacon, and after that, you can kill two spawned bats hanging in the tree with a ranged Sidearm. This method will let you complete the 20 kill requirement without sprinting across the map. Otherwise, visit any place with many enemies to fulfill your required kill count as fast as possible.

Repeat the Farm

After the Glimpse Stone breaks, return to The Unfound Path and farm another one from the Lithopods near the Chamber of the Forsaken.

The complete loop is:

  • Farm Lithopods → obtain Glimpse Stone → equip it → kill 20 enemies → receive 3 Glimpses → repeat

A full Shell upgrade costs 27 Glimpses in Mortal Shell 2. You will naturally earn enough of them to cover three Shells during a normal playthrough. To upgrade the other 5 Shells, you need 135 more Glimpses. Because breaking one Glimpse Stone gives you 3 Glimpses, you have to farm 45 stones. Since one stone takes 20 kills to break, expect to kill 900 enemies to achieve that mark.
