What is Joint Parade and How to Join It in Where Winds Meet

Serve jail time together.

Where Winds Meet’s version 1.2 update has introduced the Joint Parade, a group version of the Pardon Parade mechanic. Instead of serving a solo sentence, accomplices arrested for the same crime can be paraded together through town in a cart. The more prisoners in the cart, the higher the sentence reductions for every person. It turns a boring wait into a spectacle where other players receive rewards when they throw trash at you. Here’s how this shared punishment works and why you’d actually want to trigger it.

What Joint Parades are in Where Winds Meet

Where Winds Meet Joint Parade

Usually, when you are thrown in jail for crimes like assault or theft, you can volunteer for a Pardon Parade to reduce your time. The Joint Parade is the multiplayer evolution of this.

If you are jailed alongside an implicated player (your accomplice) under Joint Punishment, both of you can activate a Joint Parade. Instead of a solo, you will face the public admonishment as a duo, in which you will be loaded into carts, guards escort you through town, and other players will throw vegetables and eggs at you. The bigger the spectacle, the more the reduction in sentence. It effectively allows you and your friend to leverage your combined humiliation to quickly get out of the prison cell.

According to the update notes, “the more participants, the greater the sentence reduction.” So, dragging three or four accomplices into a Joint Parade cuts more time off everyone’s sentence.

Note: Joint Punishment is what leads you towards a Joint Parade. When multiple players commit crimes at once, the game also jails accomplices along with the main perpetrator who was involved in the criminal activity.

How to Activate a Joint Parade in Where Winds Meet

Where Winds Meet Prison image

The process is the same as you join a regular Pardon Parade. You don’t need to perform any complex quest steps; simply access the right menu from your cell.

  • Open the prison interface and choose Joint Parade in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  • Select “Go to Parade,” which will teleport you into the cart with your fellow prisoners.
  • Then, your cart will be pulled through town, where you don’t have to steer or press buttons. Just sit there and let the community toss eggs at you.

If your sentence won’t end after one parade, repeat the process until the whole punishment is done and you are free from jail.

How to Join a Joint Parade as a Spectator

Non-criminal players can join Joint Parades through the Time-Limited events menu. To enter, click the golden bird icon in the top-left corner and select “Pardon Parade in Progress.” The list will display all active solo and joint parades across servers. Select any active parade to teleport to the world and follow the marker to get to the cart location.

Once near the prisoner cart, choose the “Public Procession” prompt and then throw vegetables and eggs at the caged players. You must perform 10 throws to complete your participation and earn the rewards. Remember, you can only get these rewards up to five times a week. Once the cap is hit, you can still participate in Joint Parades as much as you like, but you won’t receive bonuses. Furthermore, if you can’t throw an item, you are likely too close to the cart. Back up a few steps to stand a short distance away and then throw the food.
