Feng Ruzhi is a World Boss in Where Winds Meet, who you can encounter in Roaring Sands, Kaifeng. She doesn’t mess around with tricks or play on elemental weaknesses. She pressures you with speed, aerial control, and a brutal move that can mean instant death if you’re not careful. Throughout the fight, you need to parry well, dodge at the right moment, and understand her big moves. Once you figure out her combo hits, Where Winds Meet’s Feng Ruzhi becomes a tough but fair boss fight.
Where Winds Meet Feng Ruzhi Location

Feng Ruzhi can be found as one of the Heavenfall campaign’s bosses in Roaring Sands, the northern part of the Kaifeng region. That story version introduces her mechanics in a slightly more controlled setting. Once Heavenfall is completed, Feng Ruzhi spawns as a World Boss in Verdant Hill Village. She won’t appear on the map until the campaign is finished, so first progress through Heavenfall until you reach the boss.
Recommended Companion and Setup
Feng Ruzhi’s boss fight strongly favors survivability over damage gains. Ruby is the best companion for this encounter as she can revive you after death. Feng Ruzhi’s silk-ball attack gives almost no recovery time if you make a mistake, so a second life will likely save the run. We found that other companions behave unreliably here and may not necessarily be of help. As for weapons, use the one with which you are comfortable parrying. Feng Ruzhi punishes sloppy timing, not your build. You’ll take hits if your parries are off, simple as that.
How to Beat Feng Ruzhi in Where Winds Meet

Feng Ruzhi doesn’t spam elemental tricks or hit you with big damage spikes. Her threat comes from fast attack chains, delayed parries, and one unforgiving fail-state strike, where you might lose the embroidered silk ball. To control the fight, you have to protect the silk ball, match her vertical strikes, and parry red-glint finishers. Don’t get greedy, as playing aggressive gets you killed.
Whenever Feng Ruzhi performs a yellow-glint attack, she steals your silk ball, and when that happens, a short 15-second timer begins. If you don’t get the ball back in time, the fight ends no matter what. Immediately disengage from the boss, approach the guard, and quickly eliminate them to fetch the ball within the countdown. You need burst damage for this; if you try to play it safe, you’ll lose. That’s why her yellow attacks are more dangerous than her raw damage.
Feng Ruzhi’s most lethal strike is a vertical high jump, where she dives at you for a grab you can’t block or parry. To counter, dash forward beneath her descent path. Side dodges and backsteps fail because her tracking will catch you every time. Forward dash breaks the lock just enough for the grab to miss. The timing is very tight, and hesitation means failure. As soon as she starts coming down, go for it.
Trying to outspeed Feng Ruzhi gets you overwhelmed. The fight is way easier if you let her make the first move. Most of her grounded and airborne attack combos finish with a red glow strike, which you should parry to drain her Qi. Parry right, and you will break her posture and set up Executes. Dodging everything drags the fight and increases the chance of losing the ball.
Feng Ruzhi Movesets

Triple Strikes: Feng Ruzhi performs a double strike with the weapon and ends with the third red hit. The final swing can be parried and countered at the right time.

Punish Flash: If you miss or mistime a red-glint parry, Feng Ruzhi instantly retaliates with a few quick counter slashes followed by a delayed red strike. Wait for the last one and parry.

Yellow High Jump: Feng Ruzhi flies high and rushes at you from the air with speed. If you are captured, she spins with her hands and throws you to the ground. Forward dash to escape her descent zone, or jump high to avoid.

Backward Strike: She hops backward and strikes with a delayed red strike. Wait and counter at the very end.
Double Sweep: Feng Ruzhi rushes forward with two horizontal swipes. The first hit can slip through parries, but the second is fine. Keep a mid-range distance to reduce risk.

Quadra Kicks: Triggered when you linger behind or off-angle. She spins in the air and delivers four consecutive kicks. They can be parried or dodged as you prefer.

Red Vertical Hits: Feng Ruzhi performs another red attack with two vertical strikes slammed down, and you can parry for counter damage.

Windwheel Breaker: She flips in a cartwheel-style into a delayed two hits that can be parried or dodged.

Drumbeat Strikes: Feng Ruzhi jumps and performs three horizontal sweeps, then a delayed fourth jump strike, and instantly rushes far away. It’s a rhythm check—don’t parry early or you’ll eat the finisher.

Spearwave Volley: She fuses her weapon and fires two wind projectiles in succession that are easy to parry or sidestep.

Quick Projectile: With the yellow-glint, she rushes forward in an instant from a distance, jumps in the air to hit your chest with her legs, and then quickly moves away. The visual cues show near the screen edges. You can parry it, but a miss means losing the ball.

Sword Waves: Feng Ruzhi throws three quick thrusts from the sword, followed by two heavy final strikes. Hold ground to counter it and parry the later strikes.
