Tired of walking in The Blood of Dawnwalker? Vale Sangora is a massive territory, and crossing its map on foot drains valuable time when you need to cover ground quickly, mainly when quests send you between distant parts of the map. Fast travel speeds up navigation, but The Blood of Dawnwalker uses a location-restricted teleport system, and you must activate the Shrines before they can become part of your travel network.
Learn how to unlock and activate Shrines to fast travel across The Blood of Dawnwalker’s Vale Sangora with ease.
How to Fast Travel in The Blood of Dawnwalker

Fast travel from an active Shrine to another Shrine you have unlocked.
To fast travel, you must go to a Shrine, interact with it to open its menu, and select Fast Travel. This opens the map interface, and a list of available Shrine destinations will appear so you can select another unlocked point (active Shrine) and teleport to its area.
Note: Teleporting in The Blood of Dawnwalker relies completely on Shrines. You cannot simply open the map from the wilderness and select a Shrine to teleport there.
How to Unlock Shrines in The Blood of Dawnwalker

Shrines appear on the map as small, church-like buildings with an arched doorway and a cross on top. Their icon colors tell you their operational status:
- Grey Shrine Icon: Undiscovered, locked, or broken. You cannot fast travel to or from these locations.
- Blue Shrine Icon: Active and linked to your teleport network. Hovering over these icons on the map displays options to track them or fast travel. You can also use them to spend Skill Points, pass time, and manage perks.
Walking close enough to standard Shrines triggers a notification and adds them to your map. However, you must interact with a Shrine at least once to register it for two-way teleportation. This is worth doing whenever you pass a Shrine during exploration. Unlocking one early can save a lot of backtracking when late-game objectives take you into the same part of the open world.
How to Fix Destroyed Shrines in The Blood of Dawnwalker

From the start of the game, some Shrine locations are in a ruined or desecrated state, and you cannot use them until you fix them. Vale Sangora has 17 Desecrated Shrines (Destroyed Shrines) shown as grey icons on the map.
When you inspect one, it will trigger a mini quest in which you have to find its missing Shrine Heart to restore it. Follow the leads you find nearby to track down whatever is blocking the restoration. You might have to fight a few enemies or finish a quick task to get the Heart back.
After you have recovered the Heart, return to the damaged Shrine and repair it. Its icon then turns blue and works just like any other fast travel point. Restoring a Destroyed Shrine also advances the game’s time, so keep that cost in mind before starting the repair.
Fast travel is only one of the systems that makes Vale Sangora exploration pleasant. Our The Blood of Dawnwalker guide hub has more help with quests, exploration, combat, progression, and secrets.
