Trail’s End is one of the Wayfarer Wishes in Hollow Knight: Silksong, and it centers around the cartographer Shakra. This quest is a challenging hunt through Bilewater with a tricky navigation section, but it’s worth the effort since the reward is the most valuable ranged tools in the game. Here’s how to complete the Trail’s End quest in Silksong by finding Shakra’s last spot and end the mission to claim rewards.
How to Complete Trail’s End Wish in Silksong
Trail’s End only becomes available once you’ve properly invested in Shakra’s maps. That means you have to visit him in many regions, including Bone Bottom, Deep Docks, Hunter’s March, Far Fields, Greymoor, Sinners Road, Mount Fay, Shellwood, and Bilewater, and buy all of his available maps. You can see all the locations you have to visit in the above map image.
Once you’ve done that, head to Bellhart. On the town’s Wishboard, you’ll now see the Trail’s End Wish appear; accept it, and head to Bilewater.
Find Shakra in Bilewater
The quest directs you to the northeastern end of Bilewater, but the route is full of vertical shafts, spike traps, and aggressive enemies that block narrow passages. Double Jump is a must here, and Cling Grip if you have unlocked makes things much easier.
You will have to climb platforms and dodge projectile-spitting enemies. You can simply pogo off these foes for offense and healing, but it’s easy to get overwhelmed if you try to fight everyone. After weaving your way through these hazards, you’ll come across a hidden path leading to Shakra’s final location.
At the end of the route, you’ll find Shakra waiting. Speak with him, and the Trail’s End quest will end here. There’s some light dialogue about the journey’s “end of the trail” theme, but the real reward is the tool he gives you.
Trail’s End Rewards
Warrior Shakra rewards you with his signature Throwing Ring weapon, a powerful tool that proves its worth:
- Can be thrown in groups of 12.
- Bounce between enemies and off surfaces.
- Particularly strong against groups of smaller enemies that stick to walls.
Throwing Ring gives Hornet a ranged option that’s reliable, efficient, and good to watch, mainly in areas where melee combat is risky.
