Scavengers trip over them a lot during raids, but once you unlock Stage 1: Research High Altitude Mechanics of the Ascending the Mountain project, the game’s drop pool seems bone dry all of a sudden. You need 2 Headphones to complete the project’s phase, though they are also valuable enough to stash for scrap. This is where Headphones spawn, and the best places to find them in ARC Raiders.
ARC Raiders Headphone Locations
Headphones are one of the most obnoxious tech bottlenecks in ARC Raiders. Classified as Rare Recyclable loot found in commercial and residential zones, headphones recycle into 7 Rubber Parts and 1 Speaker Component or sell for 1,000 Raider Coins. If you skip the random residential loot and search targeted high-level commercial locations, one raid is enough to complete your Expedition Project requirement.

Enter the main terminal area of the Departure Building located west of the Launch Towers and go upstairs to the upper floor offices and counter spaces. Departure Building is the large, sand swept terminal marked with Commercial and Technological loot tags. Once there, you should search every desk drawer, blue suitcase on the floor, and office container behind the check-in counters.
In every run, you’ll almost always find a Headphone or two, particularly in blue cases. Because this building is a hot zone among Raiders, expect a heavy crowd and action upon arrival.
Buried City Headphone Locations
Buried City has dense commercial and residential areas, making it a reliable map for technological items. Sweep the residential sector around Plaza Rosa, Corso de Vinci, and the Santa Maria Houses. Loot the multi-story apartment flats and breachable locked rooms, as the blue luggage, drawers, and loot containers found within these areas have a high spawn rate for commercial tech gear like headphones.
If you don’t find them there, visit the Buried City Hospital building and look inside lockers in the medical staff rooms, as well as commercial luggage scattered throughout the Space Travel (JKV) offices.
Stella Montis Headphone Locations
On the Stella Montis map, you can try your luck in the Business Center, Business Lounge, and the Cultural Archives areas. Look around the security checkpoints, metal detectors, and waiting rooms. Blue suitcases spawn on lobby furniture and near office cubicles. The Loading Bay and the underground archival wings also spawn a large amount of electronic scraps from lockers and side bins.
