Prickly Pears are a hard to get piece of loot in ARC Raiders, especially when Scrappy the Rooster, our favorite buddy, is waiting on six of them for his next upgrade (alongside six Olives and a Cat Bed). The pears grow around cacti, but their spawns are inconsistent, so knowing which areas to sweep topside can save you a lot of empty raids. Here’s where to find Prickly Pears to upgrade your cock friend in ARC Raiders.
Where to Find Prickly Pears in ARC Raiders
Prickly Pears spawn around the base of cacti across desert and nature zones in ARC Raiders maps. Though the fruit drop isn’t guaranteed and depends on the moods of RNG gods, you might encounter a massive cactus cluster and walk away with zero, or find a lone plant off to the side and score two or three.
There’s no fixed spawn rate, so you’ll have to loot multiple plants per run rather than banking on one big patch to solve your Scrappy problem in one raid. When searching a cactus plant, look closely around its base and surroundings. Prickly Pears are easy to miss during a quick sprint through the area.
Place every Prickly Pear you collect into your Safe Pocket. That way, if ARCs or angry Raiders takes you down before extraction, the item will stay secure in your inventory.
Dam Battlegrounds Prickly Pear Locations
Dam Battlegrounds has several solid spawns, particularly near extraction points for quick escapes. First, follow the dirt path leading north from the Pale Apartments up toward the North Complex Elevator (near the northern extract). Cacti line both sides of this track, and it’s one of the better known farming areas on this map.
There’s also a cacti cluster near the Power Generator Complex close to the elevator, and another patch between the broken bridge and the residential zone further south. None of these guarantee a drop, but the sheer number of cacti along that path gives you more rolls at the dice than most other spots on Dam.
The area right beside the Field Depot roughly halfway between Water Treatment Control and the Control Tower is full of cactus plants where you can get anywhere from 1 to 5 Prickly Pears in a single trip, and there’s an extraction point right nearby to make a quick escape with your loot. Lastly, you can find small cactus patches around the Red Lake area near the Raider Hatch exfil.
Buried City Prickly Pear Locations
Head to the southernmost border of Buried City below the main city ruins where you can even collect 4 to 7 Prickly Pears from the big cactus patch on the outskirts there. For another solid spot, check the northeast section by the Field Depot to loot all the cacti. If the area is already picked clean, head south toward the church ruins—you’ll find more plants along the way, and some Agave in the vicinity of the small buildings.
For players moving through the middle of the map, Marano Park is a central Nature loot zone with a lot of cactus plants, though yields here can be hit or miss. Finally, if the south side is hot with hostile Raiders or ARCs, loot the northern and eastern perimeter lines where smaller cactus groves are found along the dunes.
During the Lush Blooms map modifier, nature loot spawns increase by a great margin. Wicker baskets also appear outside points of interest, near small shacks, and on truck beds—these baskets drop high amounts of rare produce, including Prickly Pears. Once you have six Prickly Pears, take them back to Speranza for Scrappy’s upgrade along with the rest of the required materials.
