ARC Raiders Bird City Event Times and Modifier Explained

More birds, more ziplines, and plenty of reasons to check every chimney.

Bird City is a map modifier or event in ARC Raiders that turns Buried City into a high-risk, high-reward cash cow with more birds, extra ziplines, and a lot more trinkets hiding in chimneys. Introduced with the Headwinds update, this map condition replaces standard Buried City matchmaking for an aviary theme that forces you to walk between rooftops for high-tier loot while avoiding new sound traps.

You can only enter Bird City condition during specific one-hour matchmaking windows. If you miss your shot, you have to wait for the next rotation to come back around. When the modifier is active, Buried City becomes one of the best maps for sellable junk and hunting down the special duck trinkets.

When is the Next Bird City Event in ARC Raiders?

ARC Raiders Bird City Map Modifier

Unlike dedicated nodes like Night Raid, Bird City is a rotating minor map modifier (similar to Lush Blooms). When active, the Buried City queue is replaced by the Bird City version that takes over the normal map playlist for one hour and occurs roughly every two hours throughout the day.

The matchmaking screen shows a countdown for the active slot, so you can tell how much time remains for the event. Here are the recurring daily time slots across major regions:

All Bird City Modifiers Explained

Player looting chimney on rooftop in bird city event.

Bird City has three main modifiers: more birds, trinkets, and ziplines. The first one is useful until it isn’t.

1. Increased Bird Flocks (More Noise Traps)

Birds scatter in far higher density across the streets, ledges, and rooftops. If you pass through a flock or disturb them, it triggers a large audio-visual scatter effect that highlights your position to enemy Raiders and every ARC sky drone in the vicinity. So yes, the city gets more lively but also much harder to move around unnoticed.

2. Expanded Zipline Network

To make rooftop traversal fluid, extra deployable ziplines connect adjacent building tops. Since Buried City is all about on-roof exploration, these connections make getting around way faster. You can zip across entire locations without hitting the ground that keeps you mobile while you search for nests.

3. Searchable Rooftop Chimneys

Every chimney on the map transforms into a searchable bird nest. When opened, these nests provide basic scrap, foraged items like mushrooms, prickly pears, and apricots, high-value vendor trinkets, and rare, exclusive rubber ducks.

For better farming, head to high-density residential areas like Town Hall, Santa Maria Houses, Piazza Arbusto, and Plaza Rosa.

Exclusive Rubber Duck Locations and Sell Prices

In addition to standard vendor trinkets (like Cat Beds, Music Boxes, and Snow Globes), chimneys contain rare rubber duck variants. These work as throwable noisemakers during raids or quick cash payouts at vendors. The duck spawns across chimneys are completely randomized every match. Stick to the southern piazzas or the central-west village roofs to increase your odds of the number of chimneys you find per raid.

Rubber Duck Variant Rarity Vendor Value
Rubber Duck Standard 1,000 Coins
Alien Duck Uncommon 1,000 Coins
Gentle Duck Uncommon 1,000 Coins
Tropical Duck Uncommon 1,000 Coins
Flashy Duck Rare 3,000 Coins
Doodly Duck Rare 3,000 Coins
Familiar Duck Epic 7,000 Coins
