A Lay of the Land in ARC Raiders is another Shani’s quest with a request that looks simple on paper—track down an abandoned LiDAR Scanner somewhere on Spaceport—only until you check the coordinates. She expects you to visit two points of interest on opposite ends of the flattest, most sniper-infested killbox in ARC Raiders, take the hardware, and extract alive topside in a single raid.
Since it’s not going to be that easy, I would recommend you bring an augment with a Safe Pocket to keep the item secure, which you need to take back to Shani, and also equip good gear to survive the challenges the quest will put you through.
Reach the Jiangsu Warehouse and Find the Shipping Notes
The first objective requires you to visit the Jiangsu Warehouse in the far northwestern side of the Spaceport map in the Alberi Hills sector. If your drop pod lands anywhere nearby, hit this spot first before other players rotate through. If you spawn on the south end of the map, be prepared for a long run along the western ridge to stay clear of the dangerous areas in the middle.
Approach the warehouse from the west and head inside through the open bays or side doors. There are multiple entrances to the building, and you can even create your own through a glass window. Go to the northwest corner to find the staircase, then climb to the second-floor foreman’s office, which has large glass windows overlooking the sand-covered floor.
Walk over to the desk facing the window by the laptop and interact with the prompt to Collect Notes. Reading the manifest updates your log to the next objective and confirms that the LiDAR scanner is being redirected to Control Tower A6. So, let’s travel to the tower to track it down.
Locate the Scanners on the Upper Floor of Control Tower A6
For the second leg of the run, you need to cross from the northwestern border into the heavily contested center of Spaceport. Control Tower A6 is found just southeast of the Launch Towers, north of Vehicle Maintenance and Container Storage. Expect heavy opposition in this sector. Both opponent raiders and deadly ARC units crowd this building due to its high-tier commercial and tech loot.
Walk to Control Tower A6 from the lower ground bays on the northeast or eastern side of the structure, and once inside, go to the door shown in the image above and open it to enter. Check the corners and ceilings inside the entry corridors, as you might encounter ARC turrets on a bad day.
Take the stairs all the way to the second floor. At the top, you’ll come across the double doors marked FLIGHT CONTROL OFFICE stenciled on the right concrete wall.
Take an immediate right inside the control room, and swing around the corner past the elevator shaft toward the southern side of the room.
Behind a set of yellow, corrugated partitions right next to a bicycle and a red chair, you will find a stack of storage crates. Interact with the Search for Scanners prompt. The LiDAR Scanner will drop on the ground, so pick it up and drag it to your Safe Pocket.
Extract and Turn in the Quest to Shani
With the scanner secured, there’s nothing left to do on Spaceport. All that remains is getting off the map alive to avoid losing the rest of your haul. Travel to the east elevator around 280 meters east, past Container Storage, or if you have a Raider Hatch Key in your quick slots, use it at one of the underground utility hatches to bypass campers around elevator shafts.
Back in Speranza, hand over the item to Shani to claim your rewards:
