Thermal Shaker is an Epic rare item in ARC Raiders required to upgrade your Workshop to Research Station Level 4 at the cost of 3x Thermal Shakers, 3x ARC Data Modules, and 1x Frigate Inductor. Because Shakers spawn exclusively inside Technological and Electrical loot zones, you have to search around high-tier POIs to get this piece of material.
You’ll mainly want to stockpile Thermal Shakers to upgrade your Research Station from Level III to Level IV, which unlocks Amplified Research. You can technically recycle a Thermal Shaker into 2× Calculators and 2× Electrical Components, or salvage one for 1x Electrical Component, but don’t spend there until your station is leveled up. Best Thermal Shaker Locations in ARC Raiders
Cielo Sereno Observatory
One place I would recommend you visit first, where I also had great success for Thermal Shakers, is Cielo Sereno Observatory in the upper northern section of Pendola Pass. But be careful, ARCs outside the observatory can chew through your ammo before you even get inside. Use a Snaphook to grapple up through the broken exterior windows on the northwest side of the facility, and you’ll be at the second-story research rooms without alerting the machines on the ground.
Walk past the kitchen line into the open dining space and look closely at the round tables—Thermal Shakers often spawn on the chairs pushed under the tables. Run through the side offices and maintenance corridors to search out in the open on red rolling utility trolleys, computer desks, and on metal wire shelves. I found one in a small storage nook behind the kitchen that has metal lockers inside. Sweep the lower shelves and flat worktops before heading out.
Railyard and Almatera Station
If the Observatory is hot or you spawn on the southern side of Pendola Pass, head for the rail tracks running through the Railyard, Railroad Junction, and towards the west Almatera Station. Inside the train cars, loot the passenger carriages that allow interior access. Thermal Shakers can drop on the small tables between opposing passenger seats and on empty booth cushions. When done with the loot thing in the Railyard, go to the top floor of Almatera Station and check all open storage racks along the walls.
Emergency Storm Shelters
Whenever severe environmental storms roll across Pendola Pass, the local Storm Shelters turn into quick heavy loot stops. Duck inside any of the bunker huts spread along the map and check the metal shelves by the entrance and ladder. Thermal Shakers have a solid loose spawn rate on these wire shelf tiers, out in the open next to medical crates and electrical scrap.
Keep your flashlight on in the dark to catch their silhouette. Once you collect a Thermal Shaker or two, move them into your Safe Pocket. That way, they’ll remain secure in your inventory even if an ambush gets you out on the way.
