Here’s how to get Snitch Pick in Silksong, its effects, and when to use it.

Where to Find Snitch Pick in Silksong

Snitch Pick location marked on Hollow Knight Silksong map of Blasted Steps area.

In Silksong, Snitch Pick can be purchased from Grindle by spending 470 Rosaries, a merchant with a criminal streak. The first time you meet him is in The Marrow, beneath the entrance to Hunter’s March. He is locked up in one of the lower cells, fiddling with the bars. Break him out, and he’ll be gone after some talk.

After this encounter, Grindle sets up shop in the Blasted Steps, on the left side of a vertical passage that links the Steps to the Sands of Karak. Getting there requires some traversal abilities using the Faydown Cloak to scale walls and reach his stall. Once you track him down, Grindle will have a collection of items to sell including the Snitch Pick tool.

Snitch Pick Effects

Snitch Pick is described as a hooked tool that lets you harpoon enemies to steal Rosaries and Shell Shards while dealing damage. But instead, equipping Snitch Pick modifies your Grappling Hook attack, giving it an extra hit. That means about 50% more damage per connection.

It further feeds back an extra Silk thread on land, making it powerful in boss fights where the Silk economy is crucial. Though it reduces the amount of Rosaries and Shards killed enemies drop. So rather than level up farming, it instead nerfs it.

Best Uses for Snitch Pick

The tool comes into its own in battles where money isn’t the concern:

  • Boss battles: Since bosses don’t drop currency anyway, the downside doesn’t matter. The extra damage and Silk regeneration give you more sustain in drawn-out fights.
  • Tough minibosses or elites: Anything that soaks up multiple grapple hook hits benefits from the damage increase.
  • Silk-hungry builds: If you rely heavily on Silk abilities for survival or damage output, the extra thread on hit is a quiet but powerful bonus.

Snitch Pick is a classic Silksong curveball. It pretends to be about loot, but it’s really a high-risk, high-reward combat upgrade. If you’re struggling with enemies or want a little more punch in your Clawline, it’s worth the investment. But if you’re strapped for Rosaries or just looking to farm money, keep it on the bench until you’ve currency to spare.
