How to Get Quick Sling in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Double Hornet’s throwing power in Silksong.

Quick Sling is an offensive Blue Tool in Hollow Knight: Silksong, so it’s passive once equipped. The in-game description sells it as a taut-drawing mechanism cobbled together from reed and bone, strapped to Hornet’s arm. Functionally, and mentioned above, it doubles the number of tools or projectiles Hornet throws, so every time you lob a pin, dart, or any other offensive throw, you’ll fire off two instead of one.

The trade-off? Each toss consumes two charges instead of one, so it’s not free extra damage, but the burst output and pressure this tool creates can melt bosses or clear mobs before they swarm you.

Where to Find Quick Sling in Silksong

Quick Sling can be found in Bilewater, one of Silksong’s swampy waterlogged regions. It’s easy to get turned around here, but the item is in a secret area with two breakable ceilings.

Head to the chamber where you first encounter Shakra, look directly above this room, and scale the tall chamber above it. Climb and make your way to the top; keep an eye out for platforms and use the Clawline Grappling Hook to move between points.

On the top right side, you’ll notice two wooden ceilings that look just a bit different from the rest. Break through both ceilings to access the hidden upper chamber. Inside, you’ll find the Quick Sling waiting for you. It’s easy to miss if you’re rushing upward, so make sure to test any suspicious ceilings or walls with a needle jab.

Quick Sling Uses

Hollow Knight Silksong Quick Sling

  • Burst Damage Potential: Doubling your projectiles lets you kill bosses in their vulnerability windows with few openings wasted.
  • Crowd Control: When surrounded, firing two tools per throw means enemies drop before they can corner you.
  • Resource Efficiency (Kind Of): Yes, it eats two charges per use, but by ending fights faster, you often save yourself healing Silk and repair resources.

Pairing this Sling with other offensive tools (like Straight Pins or Curveclaw) can turn Hornet into a mid-range shredder.

But because it burns charges quickly, reserve the tool throws for when you’re sure they’ll connect, like for boss openings, tight mobs, or to get breathing room. Tools like the Pollip Pouch (which adds poison to all your throws) get twice the application value with Quick Sling equipped. Further, some Crests increase tool abilities or let you carry more charges, so you should slot them as well.
