Tempest is one of the most talked-about weapons in ARC Raiders, and for good reason—everyone wants it, almost no one has it, and the blueprint drops from the same loot pool that spits out Bettinas over and over. Unlike Equalizer or Jupiter, the Tempest blueprint isn’t locked behind the Harvester event. You can find it as normal loot anywhere like Anvil blueprint, but only if you search it in the right containers under the right conditions.
Where the Tempest Blueprint Spawns in ARC Raiders

Tempest is not tied to a specific map or event. It’s a high-rarity blueprint that only spawns in the high-level loot containers. If you’re farming Harvester in the hope of a Tempest blueprint, you’re wasting your runs. The blueprint can be found in the same drop group as Bobcat and other purple-tier weapon blueprints, so you need to visit locations that can roll these rare entries, like:
- High-value or gated containers
- Locked rooms
- Night raid loot bonuses
- Areas with a lot of searchable drawers and panels
The maximum spawn for the Tempest blueprint is in a desk drawer, a locker in a security-gated room, or a weapon case, and it almost always appears in Night Raids. During the night, container rarity spikes, which pushes scavenging loot into higher tiers. Purple key rooms, breach rooms, and security lockers get filled with quality loot. I’ve personally never seen Tempest drop during the day, and the players who have shared details all mention nighttime. If you’re burning purple keys, it’s better to do it only under a dark sky.
Best Places to Get Tempest Blueprint in ARC Raiders
Dam Battlegrounds
Dam Battlegrounds has the best overall blueprint density in ARC Raiders thanks to its Field Depots, Control Rooms, and residential wings. These are all high-value indoor areas on the map to get the Tempest blueprint:
- Control Room drawers
- Residential buildings with many cabinets
- Random containers in unlabeled buildings near the Electric zones
- Even on downed Raiders during night trios runs
Dam is one of the few maps where purple-tier loot can appear anywhere in searchable drawers. If you want a quiet alternative to Spaceport, this is the map.
Spaceport

Control Tower desks, cabinets, and workstation drawers have the best chance for Tempest drops. The building has layered rooms and is usually left half-looted by novice Raiders. It’s a good spot to farm blueprints if you’re lucky enough to find it unlootable. Another hot spot for desk-drawer loot is the Arrival Building during night raids. Even with squads rotating through, these buildings have so many searchable places that you still have a shot if you arrive late.
Buried City

Buried City is the wild card because it has fewer traditional “weapon cases,” but its residential zones have massive amounts of cabinets, nightstand drawers, and metal lockers. Grandioso Apartments is the best location on this map with multiple confirmed Tempest drops during a Night Raid.
Loot random drawers at the upper floor of apartments, as this place rains rare loot, and blueprints are much more common here than many expect. The Tempest blueprint can also spawn inside a random lab drawer in the Research building. Buried City’s lab areas have many small containers, which perfectly fit Tempest’s loot pool.
Last but not least, Trials can also give the Tempest blueprint as a Trials reward. If you’re grinding loot anyway, make sure to go after a high Trials score on a clean extraction. It’s not as good as farming, but it has guaranteed chances every week.
