Where to Find Sven’s Quarters in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Sven's Chambers is one of the complex locations to find in Dragon's Dogma 2. Here's how to get there.

You will be asked to meet Sven in Dragon’s Dogma 2, which also starts the “A Veil of Gossamer Clouds” quest. But locating Sven’s Chambers can be hard with no quest marker, no hint on your map, and no friendly NPC shouting directions. Don’t worry, you’re far from the only player scratching their head about this one. The game’s a bit vague at some point, but we’ve got your back. Here’s how to find Sven’s quarters in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and what to expect when you get there.

Talking with Mosse in Vernworth in DD2

Sven is a prince with secrets and plays a crucial role in several quests within Dragon’s Dogma 2. Early on, your journey in Vernworth will lead you to an encounter with a man named Mosse. This NPC will tell you to meet with Sven in his quarters.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Sven’s Chambers Map Location

Sven’s quarters are on the second floor of Vernworth Castle, which is nestled inside the Noble Quarter of Vernworth. This is the same massive castle you’ve likely walked past a few times while trying to find Brant or snooping around during other quests. The tricky part is that the game doesn’t handhold you here. You’ll usually hear from a random NPC near the central fountain in the Merchant’s Quarter (where vendors crowd around) who’ll casually mention that Sven wants to talk, but there are no details on where to find him.

Head to Vernworth Castle in the Royal Quarter of Vernworth. The castle is hard to miss, given its imposing structure and central location. From Vernworth Castle’s front gate, you’ll need to be in the Noble Quarter first, so either walk there or use a Ferrystone to fast-travel to town using Portcrystal. Enter the main castle doors and take a left immediately after stepping inside.

Going to second floor with staircase.

Head down the hallway and look for a staircase to move up to the second floor. Once you’re upstairs, walk down the long hallway past the guest and Royal Chambers. Keep going until you reach the very last door on the right, which is Sven’s Chambers, furthest to the west past the Guest Chambers.

Tip: If you open your map, switch to the second floor of Vernworth Castle (using shoulder buttons or keyboard arrows), and set a custom marker. It’ll help if you tend to get lost easily inside sprawling buildings.

It will be best to avoid visiting the castle at night. Nighttime visits can trigger negative interactions with the guards who are less tolerant after dark. While it’s not strictly necessary, having the Marcher’s Armor set can make your exploration of the castle less stressful. You can get this outfit from the “Disa’s Plot” quest or buy it from a nearby armor vendor. It acts like a disguise and lets you move through the castle without the guards giving you grief. The guards seem to ignore much of your wanderings when you’re well-dressed. In my experience, the enemies don’t seem too bothered regardless of your attire.

What Happens in Sven’s Chambers?

When you speak with Sven, it’ll kick off the side quest called “A Veil of Gossamer Clouds.” This mission is linked to the deeper political narrative involving Disa, and it eventually leads you to Bakbattahl, where you’ll uncover more shady business. After finishing that quest, Sven will reward you, and you’ll unlock further threads in the storyline. While you’re in Sven’s room, collect the Courtly Attire, which will be helpful for the upcoming Masquerade Ball quest later on.
