Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a Metroidvania game – a new installment in the Prince of Persia lineup that lets you explore the ancient and mysterious ruins of Mount Qaf. The game world is huge and full of secrets, puzzles, and enemies, so you might want to fast travel between different areas once you have unlocked them. But how do you fast travel in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown? In this article, we will explain how to unlock and use the fast travel system in the game.

How to Unlock Fast Travel in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

When you start the game, you can’t just zip around the map with the fast travel feature right away. You’ve got to unlock that ability first, which is pretty cool actually. You’ll need to play through the beginning until you reach the second chapter, named “The Abducted Prince.” Here, you will fight with Jahandar boss; he’s a wild half-man, half-lion creature. Once you manage to beat him, you’ll get the power called Rush of the Simurgh, which allows you to dash in mid-air.

Fast Travel Map Location in Lower City

This new skill opens up parts of the game you couldn’t reach before – those areas blocked by spikes or gaps that were just too wide. Now, you’ll want to head back to the big wide area in the Lower City, where there’s a statue. Using your new air dash ability, you can cross over those nasty spiked traps to the west side.

A purple time rift in front of Homa Statue

Over there, you’ll find something very nice – a purple time rift near a Wak-Wak tree. These time rifts are like glowing orbs, and when you hit them, they fix broken stuff around you. Hit the one here, and it will repair a destroyed statue, which is a Homa Statue. And that statue is your ticket to fast traveling around in the game.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown – How to Use Fast Travel

Hitting and destroying the time rift in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

A Homa Statue is a fast travel point that allows you to teleport or respawn to any other Homa Statue that you have activated. To activate a Homa Statue, you simply need to hit and destroy that purple time rift near it. The first one you’ll probably find is over on the west side of the Lower City, close to the Sacred Archives. Then, there’s another one in The Haven, which is the central hub where you upgrade your gear and buy items. But, this one’s a bit tricky since it’s behind an iron gate. You’ve to fast travel there from the Lower City first and then unlock it from the inside.

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown - Activated Homa Statue

Using these statues for fast travel is simple. Just walk up to one, interact with it, and pick where you want to go from the map. Remember, though, you can only move over to statues you’ve already activated. So, you’ll need to keep an eye out for more as you explore. But finding these statues can be a bit of a challenge. They’re not very common, usually just one per region. So, watch for purple and cracked edges on your screen. That’s your hint that a time rift (and possibly a Homa Statue) is nearby.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown fast travel is a real time-saver, especially when you’re backtracking or tackling side quests. But it’s not like you can teleport directly to a specific spot. You’ll land at general locations and might need to hoof it a bit to your exact destination. Moreover, you might bump into enemies or other hurdles along the way. So, while fast travel is awesome, it doesn’t replace good old-fashioned exploration. The game rewards your curiosity and sense of adventure. There’s a lot to discover in Mount Qaf, so don’t hesitate to go off the beaten path and uncover all its secrets.
