ARC Raiders Clean Hands Quest Guide

Time to crawl through rusty drain pipes.

Clean Hands is a new quest from the Nomadic Envoys added in the ARC Raiders Frozen Trail update that takes you across the freezing valleys of Pendola Pass. Unlike multi-stage missions that save between deployments, every objective in Clean Hands must be knocked out in a single raid in which you have to locate the camp, get the artifact, and calibrate it on a Church Tower. Because freezing winds eat away at your health and you must extract alive with a quest item, bring healing supplies, a weapon, and an augment with a Safe Pocket before dropping into the raid topside.

Find the Nomad Camp Under the Railyard

Deploy into Pendola Pass and go straight toward the Railyard near the center-east section of the map. The Nomad Camp is found directly beneath the rail platforms inside the drainage underpass.

Find the Nomad Camp Under the Railyard objective

Follow the frozen riverbed along the western edge of the Railyard that faces toward the Commissary Supermarket and Transit Tunnel, and look for the wide concrete bridge arches and open drain tunnels built into the retaining wall. Enter the tunnel to trigger the location credit for the Nomad Camp, which will complete the first objective of the quest and update the tracker to the next. You’ll emerge into a subterranean maintenance depot lined with yellow makeshift tents, hanging tarps, and scaffolding.

Search for the Polluted Item in the Nomad Camp

Once inside the underground camp, you need to find the contaminated artifact. Climb up onto the raised concrete walkway in the middle of the room and find the supply pallet covered with a blue tarp placed next to a couple of green barrels.

Search for the Polluted Item in the Nomad Camp objective

You will find a yellow bag on the ground beside the barrels with an interact prompt: Search for Nomad Item. Interact with it, and the Equatorial Sundial will drop on the ground. Pick up the sundial and immediately stash it into your Safe Pocket. If rival players intercept you on the run to Old Town, the item will be kept secure in your loadout.

Bring the Equatorial Sundial to the Top of the Church in Old Town

With the sundial secured, you need to transport it across the map to the highest point in Old Town on the western side of Pendola Pass. Leave the tunnels and rotate west across the map toward Old Town just beneath the shadow of the Fallen Emperor machine. The place you need to visit is the tall stone church located in the center of the town settlement.

Take this zipline to the top of church tower

Walk through the front archway of the church into the ruined sanctuary, then toward the southeast corner to find a spiral staircase. Go upstairs until you reach the broken landing along the way, where you’ll find a zipline hanging down through the floor. Ride it up into the bell tower belfry.

Bring the Equatorial Sundial to the Top of the Church in Old Town objective

Approach the eastern railing next to the green banner, look out over the valley, and interact with the prompt to raise the Equatorial Sundial. Your raider will hold the relic up to calibrate it against the sky, and once the channel bar completes, the logbook will check off the objective and assign the final extraction step.

Extract and Deliver the Sundial to the Nomadic Envoy

Ride the zipline back down or grapple out of the steeple and head for the nearest extraction point. The closest one is usually the Reckless Transceiver gondola station just outside Old Town, but any working Raider Hatch will do. Once back at Speranza, open the Traders tab, speak with Cassio at the Nomadic Envoys station, and turn in the quest to claim these rewards:

  • 5,000 XP
  • Sextant
  • Shield Recharger
  • Battered Paperback
