The Frozen Trail update overhauled the skill tree in ARC Raiders, and sitting at the very end of the Survival branch is the Nomadic Crafting skill. The in-game tooltip keeps things vague with a mere statement: “allows you to field craft a much wider range of items.” Because respecs and skill point investments require a good amount of planning, you should know exactly what this capstone delivers before you invest your points into it. In this guide, I’ll explain everything you need to know to unlock Nomadic Crafting, what items you can craft with it, and how much impact blueprints have on field crafting.
How to Unlock Nomadic Crafting in ARC Raiders

Nomadic Crafting is the third and final tier of on-the-fly fabrication in the Survival skill tree, on top of early skills like In-Round Crafting and Traveling Tinkerer. You must invest at least 30 to 40 skill points into the Survival branch to access the final tier of nodes.
Once it’s unlocked, spend 1 skill point on Nomadic Crafting (sharing the same bracket as Road Warrior and Field Repair) to activate field crafting for advanced utils. As soon as you allocate that point, the Crafting tab in your in-raid inventory will expand with the new roster of gear.
Note: Given the skill tree reset in the Frozen Trail update, players with saved skill points can spec directly into Survival to unlock it immediately.
All Items You Can Craft Topside with Nomadic Crafting

The core draw of the Nomadic Crafting skill is ammunition and tactical tools. Instead of running to an extract because your magazines are dry or a teammate went down, you can scavenge scrap off fallen ARCs and rebuild your kit on the fly.
Ammunition
- Light Ammo (+25): 2 Metal Parts, 1 Chemical
- Medium Ammo (+20): 3 Metal Parts, 2 Chemicals
- Heavy Ammo (+10): 3 Metal Parts, 2 Chemicals
- Shotgun Ammo (+5): 2 Metal Parts, 1 Chemical
Mobility & Tactical Gadgets
- Zipline: 1 Rope, 1 Mechanical Component
- Grappling Hook: Mobility tool for scaling cliffs and structures
- Shaker & Noisemaker: Decoys for luring ARCs away or baiting enemy raiders
- Flame Spray: Makeshift close-range burner
Explosives & Traps
- Shrapnel Grenade: 1 Crude Explosive, 2 Steel Springs
- Blaze Grenade: 1 Explosive Compound, 2 Oil
- Lil Smoke Grenade & Light Impact Grenade
- Tripwire Traps: Blaze, Smoke, Lure, and Gas Grenade Traps (combines the grenade with 1 Wire)
Medical, Shields & Survival
- Defibrillator: 9 Plastic Parts, 1 Moss
- Shield Recharger: 1 ARC Powercell, 1 Rubber Part
- Adrenaline Shot: 3 Plastic Parts, 3 Chemicals
- Fruit Mix: 1 Lemon, 1 Apricot, 1 Prickly Pear
- Herbal Bandage & Standard Bandages
- Agave Juice: 1 Agave, 1 Empty Wine Bottle
Extraction Utility
- Raider Hatch Key: 1 Advanced Electrical Component, 3 Sensors
There is common confusion surrounding high-tier items like Defibrillators, specialized grenades, Grappling Hook, and Blaze Grenades. These equipment parts will only appear in your crafting menu if you already have obtained their respective blueprints from Speranza traders or quest rewards. If an item is missing from your in-raid menu despite having Nomadic Crafting active, you’ll still need to find and learn its blueprint back at the workshop.
