This POI is right next to the heavily contested Research and Administration building, so using this Epic rarity key on the door guarantees a high stress push. Expect heavy player traffic, loud entry mechanics, and a vertical climb that leaves you exposed. Here’s where to use the Dam Control Tower key and how to secure the vault.
How to Get the Dam Control Tower Key in ARC Raiders
To find the key, you should search the desk drawers and cabinets on the second floor of the Research & Administration building. Since R&A is a massive PvP hotspot, you can avoid early squad wipes if you go to the northwestern end of the map. Here, you can loot the Ruby Residence and Pale Apartments, as the desk drawers in these residential POIs share the same random key drop pool. You can bypass the RNG by completing Shani’s “The Trifecta” quest, which gives the key as a reward.
Where to Use the Dam Control Tower Key in ARC Raiders
The target room is found on the highest floor of the Control Tower, located east of the Dam Battlegrounds. To get there, you need to move to the base of the tower, which is locked behind a heavy breachable door. Breaching will take a few seconds of sustained, deafening noise. Any raiders looting around will hear this and likely push on you, so it’s one of the dangerous keys to activate.
There are some routes to reach the breach door at the tower’s base:
- The R&A Push: Head east from the central staircase inside the Research & Administration building.
- The Exterior Corridor: Face the main entrance of R&A, ignore the doors, and push down the long corridor to the right until you reach the elevator shaft door.
- The Lakebed Flank: If you arrive from the north or northeast, move through the dry lakebed along the floodgates until you find an open sewer grate leading into the tower base.
- Red Lakes Entry: Enter through the ground-level door directly adjacent to the Red Lakes Balcony extraction point.
Once you’re past the first breach door, follow the signs for the Control Tower Testing Annex. You’ll come across another breachable door with a zipline on the other side. Before you take the zip, look up and check the higher levels for glowing lasers. There’s a machine gun turret guarding the upper shaft, and some Fireballs and Pops drifting around. Don’t get shredded by a turret halfway up – it’s a lousy way to lose your loot. Either blind the tracking lasers with a smoke grenade or destroy the defenses before you move up.
Given the area is secure, ride the zip to the tower’s very top. After the second line, get off, bank right, and head up the stairs.

What’s Inside the Locked Room
Crack that door open with the key, and you’ll find a decent spread of loot containers:
Two sets of red lockers that spawn valuable items, a grenade case, a weapon case, and an ammo case around the room. You’ll also find loose weapon spawns and high-value materials like Electrical Components and other tech parts lying around. There are a few breachable electronics containers, too.
The room can net you 50,000 Coins worth of loot or more if you clear it out properly. Bring as many Safe Pockets as you can carry to increase the loot amount you can take home.
