Pokémon TCG Pocket is closing out the year with a heavy-hitting expansion built around the Kanto Mega Evolutions. Crimson Blaze will release on December 17, 2025, and the set looks like one of Pocket’s most aggressive drops yet. Mega Charizard Y ex, Mega Venusaur ex, and Mega Blastoise ex lead the charge, and their attack numbers alone tell you that this expansion wants games to end fast.
Alongside the power creep, Crimson Blaze brings new collectible features, holiday rewards, and Solo Battle decks that will highlight the new cards on launch. Here is every card revealed so far that will arrive with the new expansion.
Crimson Blaze (B1a) Overview
Crimson Blaze is the first themed expansion in the B-series and the eighth themed set in Pocket overall. The focus is to push the three Kanto starters to their Mega forms and build the complete expansion around explosive, energy-heavy strategies. Fire, Grass, and Water decks all receive fresh tricks, while a few Psychic and Darkness Pokémon round out the early lineup.
With Solo Battles also to get new decks shortly after release, the expansion is likely to shift casual ladders and collection priorities.

Crimson Blaze Solo Battles Incoming
Once the expansion drops, Pocket will roll out new Solo Battles built around the Crimson Blaze lineup. You can expect decks that show every Mega Evolution’s game plan: Charizard’s raw damage spikes, Venusaur’s status pressure, and Blastoise’s spread-heavy board control. These Solo Battles usually highlight suitable energy curves and combos early, so they’re worth playing.
The reveal trailer confirms this is only a portion of the full B1a expansion. More cards will surface as we get closer to launch, but these 18 already show what direction the set is leaning toward: fast, aggressive, and unapologetically focused on power plays.
