Egg delivery quests have tested the patience of Monster Hunter players for generations, and Monster Hunter Rise (MH Rise) keeps the tradition alive with Yomogi the Chef’s side request, “Bunny Dango – with Eggs!” To complete it, you must track down a Rhenoplos Egg (an Account Item) in the field and haul it back intact. The quest text doesn’t mention two crucial details that often leave hunters stumped: the specific map rank required, and the fact that the egg has different names.
In-game Description: A tasty-looking egg stolen from a herbivore’s nest.
Where to Find the Rhenoplos Egg in Monster Hunter Rise
You can find the Rhenoplos Egg from Rhenoplos Den gathering nodes in the Underground Area 11 in the Sandy Plains. Before rushing out of the village gates, you must make sure to launch a Low Rank quest or expedition. Speak to Hinoa the Quest Maiden in Kamura Village to start the Bunny Dango – with Eggs! quest.
If you load into a High Rank or Master Rank version of the Sandy Plains, the same nest will give you a Rhenoplos Egg+. Yomogi won’t accept the plus version for this request, and you will have wasted the entire trek.
After you spawn at the Main Camp, ride Palamute north toward Area 11. Jump down into the large open canyon pit to get inside the underground caves. You will find a shiny green nest at the base of the big rock pillar, and Rhenoplos will be milling around it. That’s the Rhenoplos Den.
Kill the nearby monsters first so they do not poke you while you loot. Interact with the den to pick up a large egg named Herbivore Egg. Don’t throw it away, as MHR counts this item as a Rhenoplos Egg you need to deliver to Yomogi.
How to Deliver the Rhenoplos Egg in MH Rise
Once you have the Rhenoplos Egg in your backpack, you have to take the egg all the way back to Southern Main Camp (Sub Camps lack Supply Boxes) on foot since you’re banned from riding Palamute for this tour, and you can’t even fast travel back to camp.
- Taking any damage from a monster, falling from too high, or running completely out of stamina will break the egg and force you back to Area 11 to try again.
- You can sprint, dodge, and use Wirebugs while carrying the egg, but sprinting and rolling drain your stamina fast.
- If you drop off a high ledge, you can prevent the egg from smashing on impact by aiming a Wirebug Dash at the ground right before landing to kill your momentum.
From Rhenoplos Den, head through the open tunnel that leads southwest toward Area 7’s border. Follow the tunnel until you exit on the cliffs in the open. Instead of dropping into the canyon basins where large monsters roam, stay on the upper ridges heading south.
Move along the elevated paths above Areas 3 and 1. Watch your perimeter for airborne pests like Bnahabra and ground-level Jaggi, as a single nudge will drop your haul.
Follow the trail winding directly into the Main Camp gorge. Approach the blue Supply Box placed next to the tree and interact with the prompt to deposit the egg.
Bunny Dango – with Eggs! Quest Rewards
Being an Account Item, a successfully delivered Rhenoplos Egg nets you 370 Kamura Points along with an equal Zenny payout. If you accidentally grabbed a High Rank Rhenoplos Egg+, delivering it gives 730 Kamura Points, though it won’t satisfy Yomogi’s need.
After the expedition, return to the Tea Shop in Kamura and talk to Yomogi to turn in the quest. Completing this delivery unlocks Dizzybloom Dango at the Canteen that you can order to activate Dango Slugger, which increases the pace of how fast you inflict stun damage on creatures. If you’re using a Hammer, Hunting Horn, Shield-bashing Sword & Shield, or Sticky Ammo on a bowgun, this meal skill is worth getting since it knocks monsters unconscious way quicker in either Low or High Rank hunts.
