How to Get the Tunic of Memories in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Though it's been given a fresh new spin, the Tunic of Memories still carries the iconic vibe that we've all come to love.

If you want to give a similar to Link in The Legends of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom what we saw with Champion’s Tunic in Breath of the Wild, you can achieve that by equipping the Tunic of Memories armor piece. It is the spitting image of Link’s Champion’s Leather armor piece with a few tweaks as core durability has been somehow reduced.

You can get this armor from the Bargainer Statues by completing the A Call from the Depths Side Adventure. Our walkthrough tells you how to get the Tunic of Memories in Tears of the Kingdom including the locations for Bargainers as well as what makes this armor special.

Tunic of Memories Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Acquiring the Tunic of Memories in the game requires you to find and interact with the Bargainer Statues, the guardians of hidden treasures across the map. There are a total of seven Bargainer Statues available in the Depths or on the surface and you can purchase the armor from them for 400 Poes.

In case you find yourself at a dead-end, the main Bargainer Statue stationed at Lookout Landing can offer help. To make it easy for you, each of them is nestled beneath a Goddess Statue.

All Bargainer Statues Locations in Tear of the Kingdom

  • Great Abandoned Central Mine: Go to the coordinates -0780, -1902, -0565, the quick and better way is to dip into the Great Plateau North Chasm and go south until you hit the sweet spot.
  • Plains: The second statue calls the Plains home. The coordinates for this spot are 0450, -0802, -0471. Head over to Stakijat Lightroot, which is a stone’s throw away to the northeast. Keep marching north and remember to keep an eye out for the boss, though.
  • Wellspring of Courage: The third statue can be spotted if you saunter down the Hills of Baumer Chasm, move over east to Muokuji Lightroot, and then head due south at the coordinates 0884, 2404, -0393. It’s an uphill trek, but not too much of a stamina drainer.
  • Cliff: Kick-off at Uoyoyuik Lightroot and wander north to -1011, 2689, 0624. Climb from there, and pack a few stamina boosters because you have to use energy.
  • Wellspring of Power: It is just a hop, skip, and jump north of Akinatanis Lightroot. You’ll spot it on a little cliff by a waterfall. The map readouts to reach this area are 3711, 2594, -0412.
  • Wellspring of Wisdom: Last but not least, the statue is north of Usukaz Lightroot. Go north from Usukaz, and you’ll find a circular platform. Hop off with your paraglider, and you’re there at 3851, -1332, -0858.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Tunic of Memories Overview

As you successfully discover each Bargainer Statue, you’ll find that they reward your efforts by unlocking a new armor piece. With that, you can obtain the valuable Dark Link armor, as well as the rare Depths set. But, the main reward for which you have put your efforts is the Tunic of Memories armor gear.

Tunic of Memories Upgrade Requirements

As was the case in Breath of the Wild, you can also upgrade the Tunic of Memories in The Legends of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. However, it’s worth noting that even at its highest level of upgrade, the base defense doesn’t quite reach the 32 mark. Instead, it goes at a base defense of 28.
