ARC Raiders Straight Record Quest Guide

Turn it all off and leave before someone else shows up.

Celeste has a task for you, and it’s a pretty straightforward one—well, once you know where everything is. Straight Record quest in ARC Raiders sends you to the Dam Battlegrounds to deal with an old EMP trap she rigged up during the First Wave. Apparently, the Raiders are now using it to mess with each other, and she wants it turned off for good to remove the threat.

Arc Raiders throws you into all sorts of missions, and a lot of them have you fixing things up topside to help the people underneath get ready to fight back against the ARC. This quest is no different, so here’s how to complete the Straight Record in ARC Raiders.

ARC Raiders Straight Record Quest Walkthrough

Victory Ridge map location

The first thing you have to do in Straight Record is to visit Victory Ridge to find the old EMP trap, which is located in the northern part of the Dam Battlegrounds map. Head to the ridge’s area just southwest of West Broken Ridge and north of the Hydroponic Dome Complex. Victory Ridge is not a marked location, but it can be found at the upper left of the map.

As you move into the area, the terrain rises into broken rock formations with scattered ruins and narrow paths between them. Expect at least light Raiders and ARCs activity here as it’s a common quest overlap area during mid-progression.

Find the Old EMP Trap

ARC Raiders Old EMP Trap location

Once you arrive there, you will need to look for the old EMP trap. It’s a tall antenna-like structure with wiring looped around it, found at the center point of the zone. Approach the trap and press the key when the ‘Investigate‘ prompt appears to interact with it. You’ll notice that it’s still powered on, which updates the quest with the next objective to find and disable three power switches available around it within a short walking distance.

First Power Switch Location

First switch location

The first switch is found north of the EMP trap on top of a small rocky outcrop. You’ll need to loop around the rock to climb it, and at the top, you’ll find the power switch mounted on the rock face. It’s a bright yellow box and easy to spot once you’re up there. Interact with it to disable the first line feed power to the old EMP. One down, two to go.

Second Power Switch Location

Second switch location

The second power switch is east of the EMP inside a partially collapsed building. From the outside, the structure looks unstable, but you can use the debris and boxes scattered around to climb up to the balcony level. The switch is found on what’s left of the first-floor balcony. Once there, turn off the second connection. This spot is exposed and easy to ambush from nearby, so listen and scout carefully before you interact.

Third Power Switch Location

Third switch location

The third and final power switch is south of the EMP trap. If you follow the trail directly downhill back toward the Hydroponic Dome Complex, you’ll come across it on the way next to a tree. It’s another yellow box with a trailing cable, same as the others. Flip this last switch, and you’re ready for the final step.

Turn off old EMP trap

Once all three switches are turned off, return to the old EMP device and interact with it once more to shut the system down and complete the quest.

Straight Record Quest Rewards

After returning to Speranza and reporting back to Celeste, you’ll receive:

  • Binoculars
  • Defibrillator
  • Medium Gun Parts x5
  • Advanced Mechanical Components x3

Since the Straight Record doesn’t require you to extract for completion, you can spawn in with a free loadout to avoid risking any gear if things go sideways. Whether you stick around to loot or make a beeline for the North Complex Elevator to extract is totally up to you. Just keep your head on a swivel—other players might be doing the same quest or looking for easy targets.
