Lunchboxes are necessary collectibles to level up your weapons in Alan Wake 2.

By GamesRecon

If you are playing Alan Wake 2 as Saga Anderson, you might wonder what those lunchboxes scattered around Cauldron Lake are for. Well, they are valuable items that contain Manuscript Page Fragments, which you can use to upgrade your weapons. Discovering all 21 of the Alex Casey lunchboxes will not only let you level up your arsenal, but it will also unveil some mysterious notes by an unknown person.

There are a total of 8 Alan Wake 2 Cauldron Lake lunchboxes and we will show you where to find all of them. While some of these are obvious, others require investigation and possibly retracing your journey. While there is no set sequence in which you must acquire them, we have arranged them in a way that corresponds to the plot places. Note that some lunchboxes are only accessible after you obtain certain tools or reach certain chapters, so make sure to check back often.

Where to Find All Alan Wake 2 Cauldron Lake Lunchboxes

If you’re on the hunt for those precious Cauldron Lake Lunchboxes and craving to collect every last Manuscript Fragment, we’ve got the lowdown on where to find these hidden little treasures.

Lunch Box #1: Waterfall Vista

Kick things off at Mortar Falls, just a hop and a skip to the right of the crime scene. Keep your eyes peeled for an info sign – the lunch box is placed next to some bushes on the left side of this sign.

Lunch Box #2: Witch’s Hut

This one’s playing hide and seek behind the Witch’s Hut. After crossing the bridge from the crime scene, turn left and keep going till you spot a chair and a document on a box. The lunchbox is there with some bushes right next to that document.

Lunch Box #3: FBC Station

Head over to the FBC Monitoring Station, located on the left as you’re making your way back up to the parking lot. Once you’ve got the key from the deputy and opened the gate, climb up a ledge behind the station – next to a radio, you’ll find your box prize.

Lunch Box #4: Scenic Overlook

This one’s at the Scenic Overlook, halfway down the trail from the parking lot. Look for a sign and a camera on a tripod. The lunch box is hanging out near a fence on the southern edge.

Lunch Box #5: Main Road

Venture to the end of the main road, where a stream has decided to remodel the path. After you obtain the Heart and the Shotgun from the General Store, follow the road past a light in a yard to find a pile of debris. The lunch box is playing it cool on the left end, next to a car.

Lunch Box #6: Witchfinder’s Station

This one’s a bit off the beaten path, in a clearing north of the main path to the Witchfinder’s Station. After your General Store run, take the east path near the station and keep your eyes peeled for a small opening on the right. The lunch box is partying in the middle of the clearing, surrounded by eggs.

Lunch Box #7: Streamside

Make your way to a quaint waterfall at the eastern end of the stream north of the Witch’s Hut. Once you have the Bolt Cutters from the Rental Cabins, cross the stream using wooden planks and head east. The lunch box is available on the right side of the waterfall, nestled close to a rock.

Lunch Box #8: Rental Cabins

Last but not least, this lunch box is hanging out in the right-hand cabin of the big building at the Rental Cabins gate. After getting those Bolt Cutters, cut through the gate and enter the left-hand cabin. Sneak through the back door to enter the right-hand cabin from the rear. You’ll find the lunchbox on a shelf to the left of the door.

And there you have it! If you manage to round up all Alex Casey lunchboxes in Cauldron Lake, you’re looking at maxed-out weapons, the “Lunch Break” achievement under your belt, and some useful details about the mysterious Alex Casey.
