A Drastic Cure is the fifth Heaven’s Pier’s Encounter quest in Where Winds Meet, and it can be challenging to start because the NPC often doesn’t spawn at the place when you visit him to start the encounter. But once you successfully interact with him and trigger the quest, it’s easy to take the quest to the end. How to Start A Drastic Cure in Where Winds Meet
A Drastic Cure can be started near West Heaven’s Pier, northeast of Moonveil Mountain in Qinghe, where you need to speak with Qian Feifei, kowtowing near a small bonfire. To unlock A Drastic Cure, you first need to complete Thief’s Bundle: Wandering Tale (Open World Exploration) side activity for Jia Fu, whom you will find at the same teleport place.
Once that’s complete, teleport to another region, change the time to midnight, and fast travel back to West Heaven’s Pier to find Qian Feifei. If you don’t see him there, do the following:
- Set time to Hai hour or Zi hour
- Teleport away (Bliss Retreat is good)
- Ride or teleport back to West Heaven’s Pier
- Walk down the path if he still doesn’t appear—he sometimes spawns once you move away from the teleport point
Once you find Feifei, talk to him to start the A Drastic Cure quest.
Where Winds Meet A Drastic Cure Walkthrough
After the conversation with Feifei, wait for a full in-game day and fast travel to Evercare Clinic the next day to find Yao Yaoyao outside the clinic building. Speak with her and choose the ‘A Drastic Cure‘ dialogue option to let her know about Feifei’s strange condition. She will say to find out about the situation from the villagers, as she isn’t familiar with it.
Next, teleport to Brewery Backyard and find Liu’er back of the house. Talk to him, where you’ll learn that his cat, named Snowy, has been stolen by Phantom Lady.
Next, return to the front to get inside Liu’er’s house and investigate the room. You will find his cat’s whisker on the cabinet near the window. After the investigation, return to Liu’er, hand over the whisker, and exhaust all the chat with him.
The quest will update the ‘Speak with Xiaodai‘ objective, and the marker leads you to Kid Dai. Head to the location and talk to the kid standing on the cliff edge, who also thinks himself to be the victim of Phantom Lady’s theft.
Follow the new pointer to go to the house rooftop on the higher ground and pick up Xiaodai’s fox doll. Head back to the kid and give him the Fox Flush to complete the objective.
The quest next asks you to find A’Liang. Fast travel to Emperor Chai Temple landmark, northeast of Moonveil Mountain, and look for A’Liang standing outside the wine cellar entrance. Interact with him and follow him down the cellar while listening to him.
When he’s done, leave the cellar and speak with Feifei standing in front of the entrance.
It’s time to visit Feifei’s mentioned location at midnight to investigate strange happenings. Teleport back to West Heaven’s Pier, head to the pointer near the wooden bridge, and change the time to Zi hour (midnight). You will hear a strange screaming voice similar to that of a crying baby. Follow the voice hint into the village to locate its source until you come across stones on the ground. Break them and jump down into a small rock structure with a chest in the middle.
Investigate the trail where your character crouches, and two cats will spawn there after that. Use Meridian Touch to immobilize both cats and pick them up.
After that, teleport back to Evercare Clinic and talk to Yaoyao. Choose A Drastic Cure in dialogue and hand over both cats to her. Yaoyao reveals the truth behind the “Phantom Lady”: it was these two cats who caused the chaos everywhere. Pick the dialogue options regarding all four strange events, and Yaoyao will explain what happened.
Leave the cats there, and wait until the next day. Once the day passed, speak with Yaoyao again, who will give you the bells to give to Feifei so he can sleep in peace.
Fast travel to West Heaven’s Pier and deliver the bells’ bag to Feifei to complete the quest.
