After wandering the wastelands of ARC Raiders, if you have come across giant, rusted ARC shells jutting out of the ground, congrats—you’ve found the First Wave husks. They’re the relics of the first mechanical invaders that crashed to Earth long before the ARC Raiders story. For Trials or Feats, you need them, so you’ll want to know where to find First Wave Husks in ARC Raiders and how to make them pay off.
What First Wave Husks Are in ARC Raiders

First Wave husks are the remains of early ARC machines that fell in the first invasion. Unlike the active Wasps, Rocketeers, and Barons, these husks are long-dead, half-buried in the mud and dust. You can spot them by their weathered metal, faded red glows, and the way they stick out of the ground like forgotten war monuments.
First Wave Husks can be:
- Small drone husks – little and half-buried, easy to miss unless you scan the ground with attention.
- Medium rocketeer husks – roughly human-size, that mostly spawn around old battlefields.
- Large Baron husks – the big wrecks you need to climb atop to breach.
All of them count for the Search First Wave Husks Trial, and each one can be opened to scavenge materials, story bits, or the Trial points.
How to Complete Search First Wave Husks Trial in ARC Raiders

Trial tasks you to find and search First Wave husks, easy peasy, but only counts what you do in a single match. Your score resets after extraction, and progress only ticks if you exfil.
Every breach of First Wave husk nets you 400 points, and in a Night Raid, that number doubles to 800 points. To max out the Trial (Tier 3), you’ll need 4,000 points in one run. That means five husks in a Night Raid. Easy in theory if you know where to look and can survive long enough to get them.
Note: Every husk type counts in challenge, including Barons, Rocketeers, Wasps unless it’s a wreck you can breach, it contributes.
ARC Raiders First Wave Husks Locations

You can find husks on all maps, but two regions have more spawns than others: Dam Battlegrounds and Spaceport.
Dam Battlegrounds
Dam Battlegrounds is recommended for this Trial as it has three guaranteed Baron husk spawns in the same spots every time:
- One in Old Battleground, a rusted hulk half-sunk in swamp water.
- One near Water Treatment, surrounded by wreckage and smaller drones.
- A final unit up at The Breach, perched in open terrain—easy to reach, but also a magnet for enemies.
Between these fixed husks and the random small or medium ones scattered around Red Lakes, Electrical Tower, and Pump House, you can easily get 4,000+ points in a single Night Raid on Dam.
Spaceport
Spaceport is the go-to map if you prefer less player traffic. Most raiders rush inside the walled zones for loot, which leaves the outer perimeter almost empty and filled with husks. You’ll find all types of First Wave husks in Spaceport, from large Barons to small drones hiding among the debris. With some luck, you might collect over 10 husks in a loop. Make sure to stick near the outskirts to avoid firefights and hit every downed ARC you see. The husk positions can shift slightly between runs, but the three Baron wrecks will always be there.
When and How to Run the Trial
Nighttime is the best time. Night Raid bonus doubles your points, which turns five husks into a Tier 3 completion. If you play during the day, you mostly waste effort. Make sure to have adrenaline shots before you deploy. They restore stamina instantly, which you require to sprint all over the map. You can either craft adrenaline shots in the Medical Lab or buy from Lance.
Once you breach a husk, back off immediately—it erupts in flame, mainly a massive one, before it cools down. Wait a few seconds, and then get closer to search it safely. When you open a First Wave husk, it can attract nearby ARCs, so don’t get tunnel vision. The final task is to extract; Trial points only count if you make it out alive.
