Burning Rubber is one of the quests on the new Ground Zero map in Escape from Tarkov, which is given by Skier, a black market dealer who specializes in Western-made weapons and equipment. One of the first merchants you meet is Skier; he gives out many tasks that level up your reputation and grant access to new items in the game.

The Burning Rubber quest in EFT is very straightforward, all you need to do is use a paid vehicle extraction on the Ground Zero map. It’s a good way to introduce players to the new map and the extraction mechanic where you pay a driver to get you out of the raid. You can go at it alone or team up with friends. The best part is that there aren’t any complicated requirements or extra objectives.

First up, you need to chat with Skier in the traders menu, that’s where you accept the quest. Skier will also give you 5,000 Roubles which is exactly the amount that you need for the vehicle extraction fee. But if you’re already rolling in dough with more than 5,000 Roubles in your inventory, feel free to use your own cash.

The player then has to load into the Ground Zero map, which is a new map added in the 0.14 patch. It’s this massive urban sprawl with tons of buildings, streets, and even some underground tunnels to explore. But the map’s got a backstory of a nuclear explosion that went down during the conflict. This means some areas are all irradiated and seriously risky.

To complete the quest, you need to find and use the Police Cordon V-Ex extraction, you’ll find this spot on the road hanging out between the TerraGroup Building and the Empire or Tarbank Building. When you locate it, you’ll see a black SUV with its flashing red back lights, that’s your ride. Go up to it and pay the 5,000 Roubles and a little heads-up: depending on your Scav karma, the price might be a bit higher or lower.

Once you’ve paid up, wait for 60 seconds or 1 minute. Remember, while you’re waiting for the timer to complete, you’ve gotta stay alive. If you get taken out, you should have to invest another 5,000 Roubles for another extraction attempt. Furthermore, make sure you’re not wandering off too far because you need to stay within the SUV’s range to get extracted.
