Lost Cause Prayers is a ritual-focused Wandering Tales side quest in Where Winds Meet that unlocks after the Gleaming Abyss campaign. In this quest, you encounter a sleeping deer near Tiger Fort and go through time-gated offerings using Longevity Fruits. Like all other Wandering Tales, the quest has no clear markers, so it’s easy to get lost without clues. Our quest walkthrough explains how to start the Lost Cause Prayers, all its objectives to complete, and what rewards you receive.
Where Winds Meet Lost Cause Prayers Guide

Once the Gleaming Abyss campaign is finished, teleport to Tiger Fort Boundary Stone, and head southwest of the forest to find a sleeping white deer resting on the ground in a clearing south of Twinbeast Ridge. Interact with it to trigger the Lost Cause Prayers quest.

Find Lu Shan in a knowtow position northwest of Tiger Fort and talk to him to find out about Deer Immortal and the need for Longevity Fruit.
Plant the Longevity Fruit Seed
You can get the Longevity Fruit Seed by defeating the Void King during the Gleaming Abyss campaign quest. Since you are in Lost Cause Prayers, we believe you already have one in your inventory stock. So, look north from sleeping deer’s location for a small, unnatural patch of soil. Go inside the mud and interact with the prompt to plant the Longevity Fruit Seed.
Find Longevity Fruits
You will need two Longevity Fruits to complete the next objectives. Read our complete guide on how to obtain Longevity Fruit and Longevity Fruit Seed.

One Longevity Fruit is found in Wraith Village, north of Witherwilds. Teleport to the village landmark and go inside the open house on the street’s left with a stone outside its front. Go upstairs to the second floor, and you’ll find the fruit inside the room in a drawer placed on the ground.
For the second fruit, travel to the Unknown Mysterious Colossus southwest of Wraith Village. Look for thick vines blocking access. Use fire arrows to burn them away, then take the Longevity Fruit hidden behind them. Both fruits must be collected before you go to attempt the shrine offerings.
Offer the First Longevity Fruit
Teleport back to the Tiger Fort and locate the ritual stone at Twinbeast Ridge to the fort’s south and east of the sleeping deer. Set the in-game time to Zi Hour, then interact with the shrine stone and offer one Longevity Fruit.
Offer the Second Longevity Fruit
The second ritual stone can be found southwest of the Twinbeast Ridge, just south of the sleeping deer’s place. Just like before, wait until Zi Hour, then offer the second Longevity Fruit to complete the ritual part.
Return to the Planted Seed

When both offerings are complete, return to the soil patch where you planted the Longevity Fruit Seed. Wait one full in-game day, the seed will have grown into a complete tree the next day, and the sleeping deer will be gone from its resting place. Speak with the passerby standing beside the grown tree.

After that, head back to the deer area and investigate where it once slept to complete the Lost Cause Prayers Wandering Tale.
