Lost Quotes is a Wandering Tales side quest in Where Winds Meet, in which you’ll need to search three volumes of Miaoshan’s Quotes in the Bodhi Sea. How to Complete Lost Quotes in Where Winds Meet
To start the Lost Quotes quest, talk to Huijing at Bodhi Sea in Qinghe. He paces nervously in front of the temple, and is willing to share his troubles.
Master Miaoshan once taught him, and Huijing compiled his teachings into three volumes of Master Miaoshan’s Quotes that were lost after the disaster in Bodhi Sea. He doesn’t give coordinates or markers—just a few vague clues about greed, thieves, and Buddha’s will. Huijing’s last dialogue line for Lost Quotes’ locations points to where and how you can obtain them:
- Greedy people → Someone carrying the book who won’t give it up willingly and needs to be seized.
- Thieves → Enemies holed up in a hidden area, and you need to pick the volume from their den.
- Somewhere Buddha wanted → A ritual-based puzzle linked to time and gestures
Miaoshan’s Quotes I Location
Head southwest to the Bloomveil Monastery Outpost, a short distance south of Huijing’s area, into the clearing with greenery, where you will find a stone stele and a green mat laid out in front of it.
Set the in-game time to Wu hour, stand on the mat, and perform the Bow twice in front of the Shrine. Once done, a chest at the stone pillar’s base will unlock, which contains Miaoshan’s Quotes I.
Miaoshan’s Quotes II Location
The second volume can be found just north of Bloomveil Monastery Outpost, and to the west of the Boundary Stone. Here, you’ll find an NPC, Wang Er, standing at the edge of a cliff.
Stand some distance away behind him and use Celestial Seize to steal Miaoshan’s Quotes II from Wang Er.
Miaoshan’s Lost Quotes III Location
Travel north of Bodhi Sea at the marked location in the above image to find a cave entrance that leads underground. Head down the cave path to reach the big underground hall. Inside, you’ll encounter Aureate Pavilion guards, including a commander. You can fight your way through or turn invisible to avoid detection.
However you move, go straight into the hall from the entrance to find a campfire on a slightly higher area. Just before the fire, you can locate Miaoshan’s Quotes III on a wooden box, clearly visible sitting on it.
Lost Quotes Rewards
With all three Lost Quotes volumes collected, return to Huijing at Bodhi Sea and hand them over to complete the Wandering Tale and receive these rewards:

- Coin x5000
- Character EXP x5000 (or Stored EXP x5000, depending on progression)
