How to Access the Ghostlight Market in Where Winds Meet
To get access to Ghostlight Market in Kaifeng, progress to Chapter 2 and complete the main quest New Arrival in Kaifeng. Once the Kaifeng map fully opens, you can move freely around the city and head toward its southeastern district. The market is located below the Forsaken Quarter, Kaifeng’s run-down ghost-themed area. Nearly every market entry eventually revolves around this place.
Reach Ghostlight Market from the Coffin Shop
Head to the Forsaken Quarter at the southeast section of Kaifeng, and go to the Coffin Shop, which is hard to miss—an open courtyard lit with red lanterns, ritual decorations, and many standing statues watching over oversized wooden coffins inside. The shop’s special entrance only activates at Zi Hour (the late-night window between 11 PM and 1 AM). Open the time menu, switch the clock to Zi Hour, and the coffin will become active.
Interact with it to trigger a short cutscene. Your character will enter the coffin and be taken to Mask Cave, an entry tunnel into Ghostlight Market. Follow the path forward to step into the market’s main plaza. First, turn to the right where the Ghostlight Market Boundary Stone is located and activate the landmark. This turns Ghostlight Market into a permanent fast travel spot, so you never have to crawl into a coffin again.
Reach Ghostlight Market Through Bounty Trouble Quest
If you want to access the market before getting to Kaifeng, the Bounty Trouble side quest is the way to go. First, finish Chapter 1, teleport to Riverside Station, where you’ll find a crowd near a bulletin board. Talk to them and then interact with the board to trigger Bounty Trouble. During the quest, you will be attacked by Unbound Cavern members inside the temple and get kidnapped.
Once you wake up, you’ll find yourself in Ghostlight Market, carried over there by the boat. It triggers the March of the Dead quest, and you get a Ghost Mask from Horse-Face.
Alternate Method to Reach the Ghost Market from the Main Story
Universal Furnace is a main story quest in which you have to investigate the Nine Mortal Ways, and for that, you must find a Ferryman who can take you into the Ghostlight Market. Start the quest and set the time to Chen Hour on the day to let a beggar show up in the Forsaken Quarter. Talk to him to obtain the password and details you need to reach the Ferryman. Follow the quest objectives, and you’ll end up at the market.
