Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 have introduced new weapons to the gunsmith meta, and a couple of new weapon attachments that can make a good difference in your loadouts. While the list isn’t massive this time, both additions have solid potential to slot into specific builds once you unlock them and understand where they fit in the meta. Here’s every new attachment in Season 5 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone, how to get them, and why they deserve a place in your gunsmith lineup.
All New Weapons Attachments in Season 5 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone

9mm PM Skull Splitter
The 9mm PM Skull Splitter is a new barrel attachment for the 9mm PM Pistol. It’s unlocked by progressing to Page 7 of the Season 5 Battle Pass. Once equipped, it delivers improved headshot damage and a slightly better recoil buff, but the trade-off is slow aim-down-sights speed. In the current meta, that means it’s best suited for aggressive pistol builds in multiplayer or as a secondary in Warzone loadouts where you expect close-range duels.
Tip: Pair the Skull Splitter with a lightweight trigger and the Akimbo perk for quick follow-up shots, you’ll offset the ADS penalty and still capitalize on that boosted headshot damage.
PPSh-41 Helical Magazine
Halfway through Season 5, the PPSh-41 Helical Magazine will drop as part of the mid-season event. This mag swaps out the PPSh’s standard drum for a more compact, higher-capacity helical design. The result will be slightly slow reloads but a great increase in sustained fire time, letting you take down targets without worrying about continuous reloads.
To unlock the PPSh-41 magazine, complete a set of event challenges that will go live with the mid-season update including a mix of kills, objective captures, and possibly Warzone-specific tasks, similar to past events.
Tip: In Warzone, pair this mag with the PPSh’s recoil-reducing underbarrel to maintain control during extended spray-downs.
The attachment list is lean, but these two additions are targeted to refresh old weapon categories, the 9mm PM pistol and the PPSh-41 SMG, which give them a reason to re-enter your rotation. Neither of these attachments will single-handedly change the meta, but both have niche value:
- The Skull Splitter makes the 9mm PM very lethal in the right hands.
- The Helical Mag turns the PPSh into a deadly bullet hose for objective play.
If you’re a collector or a competitive player, they’re worth chasing, but don’t expect them to replace your go-to long-range meta builds. If you’ve used the same setup for weeks, you might experiment with something new and different, especially before Ranked and tournament players settle on the “new best class” and the copy-paste meta takes over.
