Black Ops 6 Double XP Weekend is Live: Here’s How Long You’ve Got to Grind

Prestige is back, XP is doubled, and the grind is real.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is bringing the heat this July not only with its mid-season content drop, but also with another double XP weekend, and this one is nicely timed for Independence Day festivities. To prep the grill or your loadouts, it’s the ideal time to get back into BO6 and rack up the XP.

Black Ops 6 Double XP Weekend: When It’s Happening

Black Ops 6 Double XP Weekend July 2025

The double XP weekend in Black Ops 6 has kicked off on Wednesday, July 2, and will run through Monday, July 7, giving players nearly a full six-day stretch of accelerated leveling. Here’s the complete timeline of the event:

Start Times:

  • ET: July 2 at 1 p.m.
  • CT: July 2 at 12 p.m.
  • MT: July 2 at 11 a.m.
  • PT: July 2 at 10 a.m.

End Times:

  • ET: July 7 at 1 p.m.
  • CT: July 7 at 12 p.m.
  • MT: July 7 at 11 a.m.
  • PT: July 7 at 10 a.m.

Yes, it’s technically more of a “double XP week,” but we’re not complaining—more time to Prestige, unlock weapons, and flex your skill.

This time, the XP increase includes double player XP and double weapon XP, so it’s a prime opportunity to fast-track through your account ranks and unlock important attachments for your favorite guns. Although there’s no double battle pass XP or GobbleGum bonuses, the two major XP boosts are good enough to make a meaningful dent in your seasonal grind.

Your double XP tokens are temporarily disabled during this event. If you have saved tokens, they’ll remain untouched and safely frozen until the XP weekend wraps.

Further, Warzone is also included in this double XP event. If you’re chasing meta builds or grinding through the new Warzone Armory content, you can take advantage of the same player and weapon XP multipliers. Yes, your FFAR 1 and LC10 can level up twice as fast, regardless of the mode you play.

Prestige Mode is Back

CoD: Black Ops 6 brought back the classic Prestige system, so every time you Prestige, you will be back at square one with no loadouts, perks, or attachments other than a basic kit and a long grind back to the top. Double XP weekends are the best source to fast-track through the levels and reclaim your gear. With Season 4 Reloaded dropping along XP weekend and crossover content including the Beavis and Butt-Head event live in-game, there’s no better time to be grinding.

As always with CoD, pacing is everything. These XP events are frequent, usually around mid-season reloads, holidays, and content drops, so don’t feel like you have to hit Prestige Master in one go. Log in, have fun, and take advantage of the best leveling opportunity in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to date.
