Want to get the holy-looking, deceptively powerful Brunhilda’s Embrace in Dragon’s Dogma 2? This guide explains about Brunhilda’s Embrace stats, how to get it, and what vocations can equip it.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Brunhilda’s Embrace Stats and Vocations

Brunhilda’s Embrace is a mid-weight piece of body armor blessed by a “heavenly sister of battle” in DD2. It might sound poetic, but it translates to handy stats that can give you good protection in battles, even though it doesn’t look bulky or intimidating. This armor is best for Vocations that love to get into the thick of the fight such as Fighter, Warrior, Mystic Spearhand, and Warfarer.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Brunhilda’s Embrace Stats

Brunhilda’s Stats

  • Defense: 120
  • Magick Defense: 45
  • Knockdown Resistance: +36
  • Elemental Resistance: +2% to Fire, Ice, Lightning
  • Debilitation Resistance: -5%
  • Weight: 2.56kg

Looking at the stats, it’s not top-tier tank gear items, but it’s definitely no slouch either, especially for the weight class in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

The following classes can equip Brunhilda’s Embrace:

  • Fighter – A good balance of defense without the encumbrance of heavier armor.
  • Warrior – Benefits from the knockdown res when charging into enemies head-first.
  • Mystic Spearhand – A stylish fit that also complements their fast, magical melee hybrid playstyle.
  • Warfarer – The jack-of-all-trades can use it for versatility without overloading on weight.

How to Get Brunhilda’s Embrace in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Brunhilda’s Embrace location marked on the map in Dragon's Dogma 2

To obtain the Brunhilda’s Embrace, head south of the Volcanic Island Camp to Geyser Hamlet. There’s a treasure chest on a cliff, along with another chest that you can reach by floating across from the cliffside or dropping down from the volcanic camp springs area above. No enemies or wild bosses are gatekeeping it, but the terrain makes it easy to miss if you’re not paying attention.

Just like any other armor in DD2, Brunhilda’s Embrace can be upgraded through multiple smithing styles. You’ll need to gather materials and gold (or Wyrmslife Crystals), and choose your enhancement path based on your build.

The following are the smithing options possible:

  • Vermundian Style – Well-rounded upgrades – a “safe” path for general improvements.
  • Battahli Style – Cranks up Strength and Defense, but at the cost of Magick buffs.
  • Wyrmfire Upgrade – The endgame enhancement which halves the item’s weight, adds flat stat boosts, and uses Wyrmslife Crystals (x10) instead of gold.

If you’re leaning towards Wyrmfire, wait until you’ve fully upgraded with another style first, then finish with Wyrmfire for the best outcomes.
