You Can Use Rebecca’s Shotgun in Cyberpunk 2077 to Avoid Fall Damage

By GamesRecon

Some players have found that a new Rebecca’s shotgun in Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunners update can entirely negate the damage of falling from height. Cyberpunk 2077 has had several issues since its release in December 2020, but followers have experienced a thrilling journey with introducing new exciting DLC content. For the past few decades, CD Projekt has been hard at work improving the game with frequent patches and improvements.

Undoubtedly, the current condition of Cyberpunk 2077 is significantly improved over the original release. Despite this, the developers had to drastically alter their DLC plans to place a higher priority on bug repairs. Since new stuff has been produced, the firm has teased players with a preview of the upcoming eagerly awaited Phantom Liberty DLC. The current patch revealed an upgrade and incorporated previously unseen material from the Edgerunners animated Netflix series.

In the Edgerunners update for Cyberpunk 2077, you can find many unique weapons additions and other items alongside David Martinez’s jacket. All of these are taken from the anime series. When you are in the area of Corpo Plaza in Night City, keep an eye out for a firearm by the name of Guts, it is Rebecca’s shotgun that he uses. Instead of the actual damage, this Legendary gun deals chemical harm and launches three more ricocheting bullets. Moreover, enthusiasts have identified a second, perhaps unexpected, benefit of using this shotgun.

A member of the Cyberpunk 2077 Reddit community, posted a clip, in which he showed how you can stop yourself from receiving the fall damage by deploying the Guts. In the video, the player jumped from a very high location, particularly it may be the Dark Matter club’s balcony. He dives toward the earth, aims his Rebecca’s shotgun straight down, and fires just before reaching the ground; the player appears to suffer no injuries.

There have been numerous positive reactions to the footage, but several users have also asked how this could be done. According to one user, the player is forced back because Guts is basically a Carnage shotgun, whose recoil is much powerful to do so. It would appear that the falling speed can be reduced by shooting towards the ground. One declared it a bug by saying that sliding as you struck the ground prevented fall damage in version 1.00, but the vulnerability was corrected after being discovered on Reddit. The other user said this is a sweet homage to Rebecca.

CD Projekt Red is uncertain to issue a fix because of how minor the issue is. Rebecca’s shotgun Guts is barely under a thicket amid three priests and a holographic koi fish in Corpo Plaza, if players are interested in acquiring it.
