The quest, called Khvarena of Good and Evil, features the Kory Drum, unique instrument players must master to progress through the quest line. Genshin Impact: How to Play the Kory Drum Score
You must first unlock the Awakening’s Real Sound world quest, part of the Khvarena of Good and Evil quest chain, to play the Kory Drum score. Once you have found the Kory Drum scores and obtained the Kory Drums as directed by Nasejuna, you must place the five drums around the tree and play the appropriate scores expertly on them. But here’s the rub: there’s no simple means to figure out which notes go with which scores.
Playing the Kory Drum
Playing the Kory Drum involves three primary actions:
- Using a plunging attack.
- Smacking it with normal attacks.
- Letting it rest for an interval.
The drum will glow for approximately two seconds when it’s time to perform these actions. Before playing the Drums, you should check the drum score from left to right. A complete leaf with no central opening represents a plunging strike. Normal attacks are to be carried out when the leaf’s core is open while pausing is indicated when the leaf’s boundary is thin.
Percussive Prancing Mushrooms Puzzle
Once you have learned how to play the Kory Drum, you will encounter challenges on the eastern side of the Asipattravana Swamp. There are three Kory Drums located in this area, and playing them summons three challenge totems. These challenges are known as the Percussive Prancing Mushrooms Puzzle.
You must follow the Drum Scores indicated on the wall to complete these puzzles. It’s important to note that if the note says “hit,” it corresponds to “jump” toward the floaty mushroom. Successfully completing these challenges is crucial to advancing in the Khvarena of Good and Evil quest chain.
Before proceeding, it’s recommended to glimpse the score at each set of drums to see what you must do. After being activated, the drum will appear golden to indicate the first required action, then shine repeatedly to indicate each additional action. Watch for the gold to disappear till you see a bare leaf sign, and then proceed with the following action. Getting the timing of your beats precise will get you through the objective.
Once you have played the Kory Drums according to their designated scores, you must return to the Great Tree and complete any remaining trials to progress through the quest.
