Amazon Prime Video has just confirmed that Fallout Season 2 is officially in the works, and it’s happening sooner than any of us might have guessed! Just a week after the series premiere, which took a bold move by dropping all episodes of Season 1 in one go, fans were delighted to hear that their journey through the wasteland was far from over.

Despite some initial concerns from fans that releasing the entire first season at once might jeopardize its renewal chances, those fears have been happily dispelled. According to a jubilant press release, executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy expressed their excitement and gratitude: “Praise be to our insanely brilliant showrunners, Geneva [Robertson-Dworet] and Graham [Wagner], to our kick-ass cast, to Todd and James and all the legends at Bethesda, and to Jen, Vernon and the amazing team at Amazon for their incredible support of this show. We can’t wait to blow up the world all over again.”

Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, also chimed in with praise for the show’s ability to exceed expectations. “Jonah, Lisa, Geneva, and Graham have captivated the world with this ground-breaking, wild ride of a show,” Salke said. She highlighted the exceptional performances of the cast, which includes Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, and Kyle MacLachlan, noting how they’ve “knocked it out of the park.”

Adding to the excitement, Amazon touted Fallout as one of its top three titles to date. Although a production start date for Season 2 has not been set, there’s a buzz that filming might take place in California to leverage a $25 million tax break from the state. And for those of you speculating about where the next season might take us, it looks like New Vegas could be a strong contender.
