Ubisoft will Close Down Multiplayer Online Services for 15 Games in September

By GamesRecon

If you are still a fan of Ubisoft’s older titles then you may get disappointed with this news. On 1st September 2022, Ubisoft decided they will stop the multiplayer online services for their 15 games which include Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, five Assassin Creed editions, Far Cry 3, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Silent Hunter 5 and some other.

Further, even the installation and access to DLC for Assassin’s Creed 3/Brotherhood, Far Cry 3, Driver San Francisco, and a few others will also not be available on the day. Even if you like these old titles, maybe it’s better to go with the latest modern releases.

On the support article page, Ubisoft has told, “Closing the online services for some older games allows us to focus our resources on delivering great experiences for players who are playing newer or more popular titles. To help us achieve this, a number of older titles will be added to our list of decommissioned online services on 1 September 2022.”
