The game was previously only available on Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam, but now the wait is over for fans all over the world. It is confirmed that Monster Hunter Rise is coming to the PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PC in January. In addition to that, the game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass for consoles, PC, and cloud upon launch, for those who have a subscription.

Capcom has confirmed that the game will be available for many platforms on January 20, 2023. Monster Hunter Rise was first released in March 2021 for the Nintendo Switch and later made its way to Steam in early 2022. Furthermore, the expansion of the original version, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, will also arrive for all the platforms in the upcoming Spring, which is currently playable on Switch and PC. As per expectations, we may get the official statement about this project in 2023 The Game Awards which will take place in December.

Players who have invested a lot of time previously will be disappointed to learn that the Xbox and PlayStation editions will not support cross-save or cross-play. You have to play from the start and complete the storyline once again in the new release. Players wanted cross-play or cross-gen before the Steam launch of Monster Hunter Rise, however, Capcom declared they couldn’t make it happen.

According to the report, Monster Hunter Rise on the new platforms will support 4K resolution at 60 fps and 3D audio. However, these gameplay settings are already achievable on PC. If you own a PlayStation 5, you will be able to use DualSense’s adaptive triggers for both ranged and shielded weapons.

Monster Hunter Rise is a fantastic entry in the series released by Capcom, and the Sunbreak expansion pack adds a tonne of fun new creatures to the mix. Sunbreak continues to receive free updates with additional content, the most recent of which added three new monsters. For the time being, more than 11 million copies of the main titles have been sold worldwide. Out of these numbers, 4.4 million copies of Sunbreak are purchased by the players.
