The latest God of War: Ragnarok trailer has been released that reveals a few of the modifications to enemy composition and fight mechanics that have been implemented for the game (arrives in the next month).
Kratos begins Ragnarok armed with the Leviathan Axe and the Blades of Chaos, providing players with a much more comprehensive range of choices in battle than they did at the beginning of the old title. Since this is the case, Sony Santa Monica has made enemies more challenging by giving players a wider range of enemies to face and a vast amount of minibosses to defeat.
Previously, your shield served only to deflect blows and provide counterattack opportunities. Ragnarok gives players the option of focusing on either side. Despite being less effective at blocking, the smaller and lighter your shield is, the better your chances of dodging and returning a blow. In contrast, some bigger ones offer the absolute reverse, implying even more variety.
Atreus’s battle demeanor and strategy have also been revised to suit his development as a hero. Being mature and more comfortable in his attacking talents, Atreus will often initiate opponents or engage in extended blow cycles ahead of you. Outside the arrows at your disposal, his vast array of magical skills appears to provide him an advantage in battle.
Beginning on November 9, God of War: Ragnarok will be available for the PS5 and PS4.
