On February 4, 2022, and beyond, those who plan to buy the sequel to Dying Light 2 will be pleased (or scared) to learn that Dying Light 2 Completion will take “at least 500 hours” to finish.

According to a tweet from Techland, the Dying Light 2 sequel will take “just about as long as it would take to walk from Warsaw to Madrid,” according to the first-person zombie action survival horror game‘s developers. If you’re curious, it would take 534 hours to complete that journey.

Some viewed this as a daunting task, given that it took 500 hours to complete. Thankfully, Techland quickly allayed any concerns by stating that despite the lengthy time required to complete the game’s story and side quests, that many players will continue to complete the game in less than 100 hours.

To complete the game’s story, side quests, and exploration, you’ll need at least 500 hours, but “a regular player should finish the story + side missions and do a great deal of discovering within 100 hours, so don’t be afraid,” Techland wrote.

As the dev acknowledged in a subsequent tweet, “When you’re not in a big hurry,” Dying Light 2’s story and side quest should require about 70-80 hours to finish.

According to howlongtobeat.com, the main story of Dying Light takes 17.5 hours, the main story and extras take 35 hours, and the entire adventure of the game takes an astonishing 55 hours. It’s obvious that the creators are going all out with this new installment.
