What Xbox gamers can expect?

By GamesRecon

If you’re like me and grew up playing the epic RPGs of the early 2000s, then Baldur’s Gate 2 holds a special place in your heart. Released 23 years ago (I know, it feels like forever ago), it was a gem of a game that left us all eagerly awaiting the next release of the lineup and finally, we have got it.

Now, with the release of Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC and PlayStation, a storm of questions has been brewing. The most burning of all? “Is Baldur’s Gate 3 gracing our Xbox consoles or not?”

Currently, the title is only available on PC and PS5. But for Xbox aficionados, things looked a tad murky. But, don’t pack up your Xbox just yet. Larian Studios, the masterminds behind the game, came forward with some clarity. In a Reddit post, a developer from the team shared the ongoing saga of the game’s Xbox development. While they’re eager to bring the game to Xbox, there have been some pesky technical concerns in the way.

A note on Baldur’s Gate 3 for Xbox

While the exact timeline remains elusive, the whispers on the gaming streets are pointing toward a 2023 release for Xbox. Why the wait? It seems that the team at Larian Studios has run into some tech snags that have proven trickier to navigate on the Xbox platform. But here’s the silver lining: the wizards at Xbox are now collaborating with Larian Studios to overcome these challenges. And with this powerhouse duo on the case, the game’s set to hit Xbox consoles by the year’s end.

But, fellow Xbox users, be prepared for one tiny hiccup: no split-screen coop on Xbox Series S. A tad disappointing? Maybe. But with a game this epic in the pipeline, I’ll happily wait a little longer for the full-blown playthroughs.
